Washington Software's Ltd.(WSL) a Pune based Knowledge Technology Software Company has launched a unique package 'My Home', specially designed keeping the PC home user in mind. 'My Home'- is a New Generation Home Management Software, a one of its kind product, novel in India and the international markets. Targeted at families of the new millennium, 'My Home' comprises several features such as the organization of accounts, tracking and management of family assets, preservation of family audio-video albums, the management of various data on family members such as education, medical, car maintenance and much more.

'My Home' is compatible with Windows 95/98, IBM compatible PC 486 DX33 or higher and recommended with 8MB RAM and CD-ROM Drive. Sanjay Sonawani, Chairman of WSL says, "Though there were so many business softwares flooding the market, the home segment was neglected by the IT World. Personal Computers installed at home had little utility, as they couldn't provide any help in managing day-to-day home affairs. Taking this into consideration and studying the needs of the modern family, WSL decided to create a software package to cater to this need. Since 'My Home' does not require any formal training in computers, any woman with a basic education, even a novice in computers could use this product."

As a first step, WSL is distributing 'My Home' in India through a wide distributor network which has been established all over the country. WSL will be marketing this package in the global markets through reputed companies, which specialize in the distribution of utility software. On talking about the pricing and demand for 'My Home', Sonawani stated, "Pricing has been done in order to make the product affordable to every PC user as well as to stop piracy." The package is priced at Rs 350 and targeted at approximately 5.7 million consumers in the home segment.
