Development Consultants (DC) is a transnational Consulting Engineering Group with headquarters in Calcutta. It offers services in planning, technology selection and development, design engineering, procurement assistance, construction supervision and project management. Established by Sadhan Dutta in 1950 as a privately-managed company, DC pioneered stand-alone consulting engineering in India. It has executed over 1400 assignments at home and abroad, and ranks among the world's foremost organizations in terms of resources and manpower.

The DC Group has won 12 Annual Awards (both national and regional) during the last 13 years. It has two international subsidiaries - Development Consultants International Ltd. (DCIL) in Hong Kong and AmDC in New York.

The Group's projects include a steel mill in Venezuela, desalination plants in Saudi Arabia and Lybia, cement plants in Syria, Bolivia and Columbia, paper projects in Thailand and Kenya and so on.
